Much of what is here goes beyond what is typically thought of as black metal - for example, Carl-Michael Eldes loose, almost jazzy drumming, Skolls slithering, off-the-beat. Great music is worth more than we ever pay for it. Ved Buens Endes sole full-length, Written in Waters, is an album of esoteric, experimental black metal that, years after its release, still sounds like nothing else. Likewise, we believe that tangible music formats help provide the richest, most rewarding immersions and that music, artwork, and song titles cooperate to produce a singular effect on the listener. Though we consume music in a variety of ways, we give particular privilege to the immersive, full-album listening experience. This podcast is conceived and conducted by Jeff Wagner and Hunter Ginn. Radical Research is a conversation about the inner- and outer-reaches of rock and metal music. The ladder being Technical Death Metal and Ved Buens Ende more.
